Turkish delegation visits Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and its health projects

A health delegation, accompanied by the head of the Aal al-Bayt Foundation (peace be upon them) in Turkey, visited Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and its health projects, after meeting with His Eminence, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalaey.

The head of the delegation, His Eminence Sheikh Rahmani, said in a statement to the International Media Center, "We came to visit the holy shrines, accompanied by a health delegation of senior doctors in Turkey, including general physicians and heart surgeons from the Turkish International Hospital.”

Sheikh Rahmani added, “The Aal al-Bayt Foundation, which is affiliated with the Supreme Religious Authority, has branches in Iraq, United Kingdom, Iran and other countries, and it has taken upon itself the establishment of various activities and events related to the doctrine of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them). Praise be to God, the Turkish people are educated with the Islamic culture, and they are well aware of the sacrifices made by the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, in his blessed renaissance. People there are thirsty to learn about the biography and sciences of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them)."

Sheikh Rahmani stressed that “there is a fruitful cooperation between the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and the Aal al-Bayt Foundation in Turkey, where we inaugurated the Imam Hussein Center for Cultural and Media Cooperation, in order to hold cultural, intellectual and religious activities for the Turkish and Iraqi youth there.”

Member of the delegation, Dr. Atkan, the chief surgeon at Esencan Hospital in Turkey, spoke to the International Media Center, saying, “Personally, I admit that I was late in visiting this blessed place, where the feelings here are indescribable in the Holy Shrine of the grandson of the Noble Prophet, where we saw the true application of Islam here in this city, especially in the Holy Shrine. We found people here from different countries, nationalities, sects and customs, but their path is one and that is the path of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him.”

Dr. Atkan added, "What impressed us is the level of health services provided by the institutions managed by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Karbala. These services are unparalleled and just as the Holy Shrine provides these services, we will represent a hospital in Turkey for this blessed place. I invite those who would like to receive treatment at Esencan Hospital in Turkey to contact us through the IMC and we will take care of everything we can to help in this field, in honor of what His Eminence Sheikh al-Karbalaey offers to the poor and needy people.”  

He stressed, "We are fully prepared for joint cooperation with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain and its health and medical projects."
