Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues its work on the orphan schools project in Karbala

The Engineering and Technical Projects Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues its construction works to complete the orphan schools project located in Karbala.

The project’s resident engineer, Zaid Al-Janabi, stated that "the project is located in the southwest of the holy province of Karbala and is being implemented on a total land area estimated at 2.5 hectares. It includes nine buildings, six of which consist of five floors, in addition to the ground floor, which consists of three separate schools for boys and girls, and three additional buildings that include a kindergarten and nursery building, administrative building, and a playground.”

Al-Janabi pointed out that the project’s total completion rate has reached 65 percent.

With regard to buildings and their details, Al-Janabi said, "Each school is located on an area estimated at 900 square meters. As for the building area, it is around 4500 square meters, consisting of five floors in addition to the ground floor. It includes a reception and two cafeterias. The first, second and third floors will be designated for classrooms, while the fourth floor contains a prayer hall in addition to classrooms, and it is hoped that each school will accommodate approximately 850 students, according to the design.”
