Imam Hussain Holy Shrine signs memorandums of understanding with prominent regional and international health institutions

Yesterday, the Health and Medical Education Authority of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the signing of memorandums of understanding with Lebanese hospitals and universities.

The Authority said, in a statement, "Based on the forward-looking vision of the Health and University Education Authority at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to ensure the best educational standards for students of medical and academic faculties, and to cooperate and integrate with Iraqi state institutions, especially the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Iraqi Ministry of Health, a delegation from the Health and University Education Authority of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine headed by Dr. Sattar Al-Saadi concluded several memorandums of understanding and concluded partnerships through the development of the research field, scholarships and exchange of students in all stages and enrollment in master's and doctoral programs available in reputable institutions abroad.”

The Authority stated, "The memorandums of understanding were signed with prominent regional and international institutions, including the prestigious St. Georges University in Beirut and its hospital, which is considered one of the most prominent and oldest medical centers in the region, as it was established in 1878, in addition to its association with the American Mayo Clinic."

The Health and Medical Education Authority added that a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was also signed with the Faculty of Medicine at the Lebanese University, which is linked to the Francophone academic system.

"Awareness sessions were held with the American University of Beirut in order to build a huge database for research and related data in the medical fields for the purpose of refining skills, adopting technology, introducing elements of research and innovation in the educational methodology, and creating an environment that focuses on students and enhances opportunities for excellence."
