Tens of cyclists travel hundreds of kilometers to commemorate al-Arba'een Pilgrimage differently

A group of followers of Ahlual Bayet (PBUT) commemorate the al-Arba'een pilgrimage differently by travelling hundreds of kilometres using their bicycles heading to Karbala.

Mahdi Saleh, one of the group, said, "We are a group of cyclists from Basra and have been doing this since 2008. We revive the al-Arba'een pilgrimage on our bicycles in a journey of seven days at least, passing through several Iraqi cities all the way to Karbala."

He added, "We started our first launch with 43 members, and now we have become several groups, and we dividedly headed to Karba starting from Safar 1 and agreed to meet each other in Karbala, noting that all group members are well-known in Basra and have modern bikes from global origins in order to ensure our safety."

Ahmed Salih, one of the cyclists, said, I advise the youths to follow Ahlual Bayet manners by performing prayers at their times, as Imam Hussain paused the battle in order to perform the prayers and was martyred for the same reason."

Cyclist Ali Mohammad said, "We used to come annually to Karbala without feeling bored because the road of Imam Hussain is full of love, hospitality, generosity, and welcoming, with all kinds of amenities and accommodations by the mourning processions."
