The Shrine is planning to construct branches for Wareth oncology centre in several cities
The Holy Shrine announced arranging plans to construct a hospital for treating cancerous tumours in the city of Diwaniyah and Kirkuk in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning.
Dr Haider Hamzah Al-Abadi, the head of the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Shrine, said, "The Warith Foundation in Karbala represents the core of specialised treatment, as it is the first of a kind in Iraq."
He added, "The Warith Hospital in Basra that will be inaugurated in the coming months comes after Karbala's major centre, noting that other centres will be implemented in the future in the Iraqi cities."
