The Department of Childhood Development and Care at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the inclusion of the Al-Husseini Al-Sagheer Festival in the database of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ) in Denmark.

The director of the festival, Maytham Al-Batran, said in a statement, "The Al-Husseini Al-Sagheer Festival has been included in the database of the ASSITEJ Association."

He added, "This step represents clear evidence of the festival's great development over the past years."

Al-Batran stressed that "the festival is witnessing extensive works of performances, workshops, and intellectual and research seminars, as part of the preparation for its seventh session, which aims to consolidate the experience of children's theater in Iraq, the Arab world, and internationally."

It is noteworthy that the Al-Husseini Al-Sagheer Festival for Children's Theater is the first festival for Husseini theatrical performances for children to be held in the Republic of Iraq, and it is one of the activities of the Department of Childhood Development and Care at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine. The festival is held annually with the participation of theater groups for children from inside and outside Iraq, and cultural, educational and humanitarian plays are presented inspired by the revolution of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
