Warith Al-Anbiya University ranks 18 out of 77 public and private Iraqi universities within the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings
Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s Warith Al-Anbiya University ranked 18 out of 77 public and private universities and colleges in Iraq.
University President, Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, said in a statement, “Warith Al-Anbiya University ranked 504 globally out of 1050 indexed universities in the UI GreenMetric rankings in sustainability.
The statement added, "The university ranked 18 out of 77 public and private Iraqi universities and colleges, and it achieved competitive positions in the 2022 rankings, in which various universities from more than 85 countries around the world participated."
The statement indicated that the ranking is based on collecting basic information and indicators in six main criteria, including infrastructure, green spaces, energy, climate change, transportation, water consumption, waste management, education and scientific research.
UI GreenMetric rankings was launched in 2010 and is one of the most credible global rankings that assess the interest of universities in issues related to social development and environmental sustainability, and the extent of their commitment to environmentally friendly practices as well as the dissemination of their culture and awareness within the university campus and society.
