Construction works continue at autism center in Wasit Province

The Strategic Projects Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is continuing its work to complete the Autism Center project in Wasit Province, eastern Iraq.

Thulfiqar Khaled Khalaf, project’s resident engineer, stated that "work is going on at an increasing pace to complete the project of the specialized center for the treatment of children with autism, which is located in the north of Wasit Province, Kut district," noting that "the project is implemented under a total area of ​​20,000 square meters, with a building area of 9,000 square meters.”

He explained that "the project consists of three floors containing multi-use spaces, services room, physiotherapy, physical therapy, hydrotherapy and sensory speech rooms," adding that "there are classes and training workshops for autistic patients, in addition to playgrounds, green spaces and parking lots."
