Delegation from Imam Hussain Holy Shrine visits West Africa to expand the religious and cultural projects

A delegation from the Religious Affairs Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine visited the Republic of Ivory Coast to discuss expanding the horizon of religious and cultural projects established there.

Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, assistant head of the Religious Affairs Department, said, “We arrived in the Republic of Ivory Coast to follow up on the scientific and cultural projects and we will have extensive meetings for new projects, such as opening religious schools specializing in the sciences of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”

Al-Qarawi added, "There is a directive from the Chief Cleric of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to establish work in Africa in general and specifically in its west.”

Member of the delegation, Sheikh Thaer al-Kufi, said, “Since we arrived in Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast, we visited one of the Islamic centers, where advices and instructions were given to the attendees by Sheikh Al-Qarawi and the questions of some young people were answered. Numerous meetings with Ahlulbayt followers were held in order to open the doors of cooperation in the service of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
