Iranian calligrapher begins handwriting the Holy Quran to be gifted to the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain

An Iranian calligrapher began handwriting a copy of the Noble Quran to be given as a gift to Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Karbala, Iraq.

The calligrapher, Sayyed Azizullah Azranj from Khuzestan province, southwest of Iran, hopes to complete writing the Holy Qur'an in a year to gift it afterwards to the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him.

The Quranic affairs advisor at the Holy Shrine, Sheikh Hassan al-Mansouri, and the prominent Iranian reciter Mahdi Daghagle, met with the Iranian calligrapher in Khuzestan, Iran, after he handwrote a similar Quran and gifted it to the Imam Redha Holy Shrine in Mashhad.  

Azranj says he plans to handwrite a copy of the Holy Qur’an for all the Infallible Imams, peace be upon them.
