Delegation of Palestinian scholars participate in the revival of Arbaeen Pilgrimage in Karbala

A delegation of Palestinian Sunni religious scholars had the honor to visit the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in Karbala, on the occasion of Arbaeen, while announcing the opening of a special procession under the name ‘The Call of the Aqsa’.

Head of delegation, Sheikh Sayed Baraka, said, "We came to visit the grandson of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and to benefit from the great energy to find a channel between the oppression of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and the oppression of the Palestinian people to free them from their darkness.”

He added that "the scholarly delegation will have coordination with the honorable religious authorities in Karbala and Najaf, to attend the Arbaeen procession every year," noting that "the delegation opened today, its procession ‘The Call of the Aqsa’ on the Najaf-Karbala Road to provide service to pilgrims.”

The scholars called for the support of the Palestinian cause from inside the Holy Shrine, emphasizing on the unity of Muslims.
