More than 27 thousand meals served by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine on the Arbaeen pilgrims’ road every day

With the start of the influx of Arbaeen pilgrims heading towards the holy city of Karbala from all directions, specifically the Babylon-Karbala road, the Imam Hussain Pilgrims’ City mobilized all its employees to serve the pilgrims in order to provide the best services, including meals.

In an exclusive interview with the City’s Refectory, Haider Ahmed Zaki, said, “Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has been serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, by providing all services to them, especially during the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, and we have finished all preparations to receive the beloved pilgrims coming from the southern provinces on the Babylon-Karbala Road.”

He added, "The City serves three meals for pilgrims daily, and as more pilgrims arrive, the number will reach 27 thousand per day.”

Zaki also pointed out that the work in the City continues 24 hours a day, during which meals are served and rest areas are provided with the help of volunteers who never hesitate to serve the pilgrims of Abu Abdullah al-Hussein, peace be upon him."
