More than 11 thousand service tents to provide services to Arbaeen pilgrims in Karbala

The Department of Rituals and Processions of Imam Hussain and al-Abbas Holy Shrines announced the participation of more than 11,000 service tents providing services to Arbaeen pilgrims in Karbala, with over 60 from Arab and foreign countries.

The head of the department, Riyadh Ne’ma al-Salman, said, “Since the twenty-fifth of the month of Muharram, the Department of Rituals and Processions has worked to schedule the flow of mourning processions that will participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage."

He added, "More than 11356 service tents were registered from all Iraqi provinces, and there are more 59 Arab and foreign processions that will participate in the mourning of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, from China, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, India, Nigeria and Kenya.”

Al-Salman continued saying, “The tents will be equipped with all the necessary supplies, in addition to drinking water to be prepared for serving the pilgrims, while adhering to the recommendations emphasized by the religious authority and the Iraqi Ministry of Health.”
