Iraq: Religious organization builds 24 hospitals to serve citizens regardless of religious denomination and ethnicity

Imam Hussain Holy Shrine stated that the 24 al-Shifaa health centers it had built in various provinces around the country were aimed solely at serving the Iraqi citizens.

The Deputy Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, Hassan Rashid al-Abaichi, said in an interview with Karbala TV, "Imam Hussain Holy Shrine adopted the implementation of health projects around the country for the purpose of serving the Iraqi people, regardless of their religious denomination and ethnicity.”

Twenty-four al-Shifaa health centers serving as Covid treatment centers were opened in the past few months to support the Ministry of Health.

The project comes in accordance with the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalaey.
