Delegation from Imam Hussain Holy Shrine visits Burkina Faso to discuss cultural and religious cooperation

A delegation from Imam Hussain Holy Shrine visited the Republic of Burkina Faso to discuss frameworks for cultural and religious cooperation with cultural institutions and mosques.

Assistant Head of General Activities Department, Sheikh Ali al-Qarawi said, "The delegation conducted several visits and meetings with the communities of the West African country,  including the previous meeting with the late spiritual leader of the Tijaniyyah religious order, and a visit to some of his mosques, in addition to a visit to Taslima City, which contains several mosques and Islamic cultural centers, in order to activate cultural and religious cooperation to spread the teachings of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”

Al-Qarawi pointed out that the delegation also visited the Islamic Ahlulbayt Council in the capital Ouagadougou, and discussed the possibility of holding a number of courses in Iraq for graduates of religious institutions in the country, as well as securing visits for a number of believers to the holy shrines, and accepting some students in Iraqi universities, institutes and seminaries.
