Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues work in Al-Sibtayn University project in Karbala

The Engineering Projects Department of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is continuing its work to complete the project of Al-Sibtayn University for Medical and Health Sciences, in the holy province of Karbala, which is the first of its kind in Iraq.

The director of the aforementioned project, Engineer Muhannad Ghaleb, said that "work is underway on the Al-Sibtayn University for Medical and Health Sciences project at an increasing pace,” noting that the university includes many colleges specialized in medical and health aspects.

He continued, "The aim of establishing such projects is to supply the health sector of the Iraqi state with the best modern medical techniques, to qualify medical cadres for the public and private sectors, and to open different job opportunities for various medical projects in all specializations."

Ghaleb explained that "the university is being built on an area of ​​70,000 m2 and consists of several buildings, the main medical college building (100% completion rate), the university presidency building (70% completion rate), and the studies building (70% completion rate),” adding that the service buildings include restaurant, mosque, green spaces and streets, making the project’s total completion rate to be 87%.
