Hundreds of foreign students depart from Mashhad to Karbala to participate in the Arbaeen Pilgrimage

The Convoy of Foreign Students affiliated with the Al-Mustafa International University set off from the holy city of Mashhad towards the holy city of Karbala to participate in the massive Arbaeen Walk, during a farewell ceremony from the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Redha (peace be upon him).

University President Sheikh Muhammad Redha Salih said in a statement to the Imam Redha Holy Shrine website, “The students of Al-Mustafa University should disseminate the correct teachings of religion and the biography of the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them), to the pilgrims visiting Karbala from all around the world.”

Salih considered the Arbaeen Walk as an opportunity to introduce pilgrims to the principles of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the thought of Islam.

The President of Al-Mustafa University in Mashhad added, "Participation in the Arbaeen is a model of unity and brotherhood, which the Islamic world desperately needs at the present time."
