Head of the center, Haidar al-Mangooshi said, "The IMC has prepared early this year to create the appropriate atmosphere and facilitate the work of Arab and foreign journalists in obtaining special visas to enter Iraq. We received many requests from various countries who are interested to come to Karbala to cover this year’s Arbaeen.”
He added, "The first media delegation that arrived in Karbala is from Turkey, and we are still continuing despite the difficulties and measures taken by the government due to Covid. The IMC is working to obtain the approvals for a number of media professionals, in cooperation with the authorities.”
For his part, the Turkish media coordinator and journalist, Jawad Gok, said that the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain plays a major role in facilitating our work in coming to Karbala.
“Nearly 900 Turkish media institutions receive and broadcast news related to the Arbaeen Pilgrimage. Therefore, the issue of coverage of the event by Turkish media is very important in order to deliver the message of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him.”
Gok, who has been coordinating and covering the Arbaeen Pilgrimage for several years, pointed out that there are many people in Europe who want to learn about Imam Hussein and blessed renaissance, and Arbaeen is a great opportunity to convey the Imam’s message.
