The Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority inspects the largest housing project for the poor in Iraq

The Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and the Chief Cleric of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalaey, inspected a number of strategic projects implemented by the Holy Shrine, including the housing project for the poor located on the Karbala-Babylon Road.

The head of the Strategic Projects Department, Eng. Muhammad Diaa, said, "The Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority was briefed on the stages of completion of the largest housing project for the poor in Iraq.”

Diaa added that the project is located on the Karbala-Babylon Road with an area of ​​38.5 hectares. The houses are designed in modern ways and are of two areas – 120 m2 and 150 m2.

He stressed that "the works within the project for the first phase are taking place at an increasing pace, at a rate of 509 houses, as our engineers were able to achieve tangible progress in the rates of completion.”
