In an effort to develop Quranic skills and capabilities, Imam Hussain Holy Shrine holds Quran memorization contest for women in Basra

The Quran House at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine held a Quranic memorization contest in the Iraqis province of Basra, with the participation of more than 60 female memorizers.

Head of the Quran House Media Center, Safaa al-Silawi, said, "The Basra branch of the Quran House held a Quranic memorization contest for women, with the participation of more than 60 memorizers of 10 parts, 20 parts and the full 30 parts of the holy book.”

Al-Silawi explained, "The aim of holding such a competition is to develop the Quranic skills and capabilities of the students, and to introduce Quranic programs so that all the memorizers can benefit from them and participate in national and international contests."
