Muslim volunteers distribute 500 aid kits in the Canadian city of Fort McMurray

A number of volunteers from the Islamic Center in the Canadian city of Fort McMurray distributed aid to the needy to help them overcome the winter cold.

The volunteers were able to distribute 500 sets of aid to those suffering from a lack of heating, food and hygiene materials.

The group of Muslim youth also distributed a number of aids to the elderly and those who are under quarantine due to the COVID-19 virus.

"Help is always needed, especially at the moment, so we must always look to our neighbors and those who deserve help," said Muhammad al-Dhahabi, the mosque's vice president for community affairs.

At the end of last month, Islamic Relief Canada distributed a number of charitable aids to the needy and homeless in the city of Victoria, the capital of the state of Colombia.
