Photographer of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine wins first place in the International Arbaeen Award Contest

A photographer of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Muhammad Al-Khafaji, won first place in the 8th International Arbaeen Award Contest, which was held in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"Photographers from more than 20 Arab and foreign countries participated in the contest, and the International Arbaeen Award is a global cultural program that sheds light on the moral standing and immortal manifestations of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), and expressing feelings of love and loyalty to the Imam,” said Al-Khafaji.

He added, "I got first place in the photo section, and I am proud of this award, as I am one of the servants of the Holy Shrine. I represented the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in this great festival, especially since it witnessed a wide presence of various official figures, including the Iranian Minister of Culture and a number of personalities and ambassadors of countries present in Tehran.”

Al-Khafaji stated, "This contest is one of the most important international contests in the country, as photographers from 426 Arab and foreign countries presented 4560 photos."

Al-Khafaji extended his thanks to the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and the Media Department for their support to him, and to everyone who stood by him and supported him.
