Sayyid al-Awsiya Pilgrims’ City prepares to receive Arbaeen pilgrims passing through Baghdad-Karbala Road

For the sixth consecutive year, Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s Sayyid al-Awsiya City for Pilgrims has opened its doors to receive Arbaeen pilgrims passing through Baghdad-Karbala Road.

The City's media official, Ali al-Husseini, said in a statement to the International Media Center, "Sayyid al-Awsiya Pilgrims’ City has prepared to receive the honorable pilgrims, as all its employees have been mobilized in preparation to serve this massive pilgrimage."

Al-Husseini added, "Twenty-two furnished and air-conditioned halls were prepared, where the capacity of each hall is 300 people, in addition to the distribution of three daily meals inside the City and on the main road.”

Two health centers were established (one in the City and one on the main road) in cooperation with the Rusafa Baghdad Health Department to treat all pilgrims free of charge.

Additionally, several cultural and development centers were established in the City and on the main road to educate pilgrims, in addition to family and psychological counseling centers, and other centers for legal and religious inquiries.”
