Imam Hussain Holy Shrine wins first place in international Quranic competition

The Quran House of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Basra province has won the first and second places in the second international electronic Quranic Opening Book competition for memorization and recitation, which was held by Imam al-Kadhim College, for university students.

"A group of memorizers from various Islamic countries participated in the Quranic competition, as the number of participants reached 37 male and female memorizers," said Adel Hashush, director of the branch in Basra.

He indicated that "the countries that participated in the competition are Iraq, Iran, India, Egypt, Pakistan, Morocco and Indonesia, where the memorizer ‘Amani Hassan Abd Ali’ won first place in memorizing all the Holy Quran, and the memorizer Zahra Sabah Hadi won third place in memorizing all the Holy Quran."
