Imam Hussain Holy Shrine hosts the Indonesian ambassador to develop mutual relations between the two countries

The Indonesian ambassador to Iraq and his accompanying delegation visited the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, in the holy city of Karbala, while the Indonesian ambassador expressed his gratitude for the invitation.

The Quranic Affairs Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine organized a multi-meeting tour in the holy city of Karbala for the Indonesian ambassador to Iraq and his accompanying delegation.

Advisor for Quranic affairs, Sheikh Hassan Al-Mansoori said, “The Quranic Affairs Department hosted the Indonesian Ambassador, Mr. Elmar Iwan Lopes and his accompanying delegation. The visit included reviewing the most prominent projects of the Holy Shrine, including the al-Warith International Foundation for Oncology that showed the level of development and the advanced treatment provided to the Iraqi society of various sects, religions and nationalities."

For his part, the Indonesian ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the invitation and also expressed his readiness to cooperate in various fields, especially the Quranic projects between the two countries.

Imam Hussain Holy Shrine initiated years ago the launch of its Quranic branches in East Asian countries, and among the first and most important of these branches is its branch in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
