Bulgarian delegation visits Karbala to learn about its religious and heritage reality

In the context of attracting foreign and Arab tourists, the International Media Center at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine received a group of Bulgarian activists and businessmen, in order to get acquainted with the city of Karbala, the holy shrines, and archaeological and religious sites.

The director of the center, Haider al-Mangooshi, said, "The center always seeks to open bridges of communication with the Western and Arab world, by attracting the largest number of tourists, activists and journalists, to view the landmarks and heritage of Karbala with its archaeological, religious and cultural features."

He added, "It is necessary to convey a realistic image of the holy city of Karbala to the outside world, and this image becomes clear through the presence of tourists and work to sustain the tourism movement."

He explained, "The delegation toured the Museum of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to examine the archaeological value of the artifacts in Karbala and all of Iraq."

For his part, the delegation expressed its admiration for the holy city of Karbala and its archaeological and religious sites, expressing its thanks for the reception and hospitality offered by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.
