Wide participation in mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, in Mali

Thousands of believers gathered in the hall of the Cultural Palace in the Malian capital, Bamako, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, in response to the call of the Hizb al-Rahman Foundation for Religious Preaching in Mali, which is headed by Sayyed Muhammad Biyaya Haidara.

Shia believers, as well as many Muslims keen to know the truth of Ashura, attended from all regions and provinces, while black banners of sadness were hung in honor of the painful tragedy.

Sayyed Shwala recalled the painful events that Imam Hussain and his pure family, peace be upon them, experienced during the al-Taff incident, referring to all the events that led him to Karbala.

The attendees were greatly affected by the painful story of Karbala and this was the first time that the Ashura ceremony was held in a large hall in the Malian capital.
