Imam Hussain Holy Shrine acquires large agricultural land in West Africa

The African Activities Division of the Religious Affairs Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the start of work on the agricultural land allocated to it in the Republic of Burkina Faso, West Africa, after completing the procedures for its acquisition.

The division's official, Sheikh Ali al-Qarawi, said, "The 3-hectare land was registered in the name of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in the Bama province of Burkina Faso in South Africa."

He added, "The aim of the acquisition and investment is to support cultural projects in Africa and open religious and academic schools, which came following requests and appeals by residents to Imam Hussain Holy Shrine."

Al-Qarawi pointed out, "The land was cultivated with the yellow corn crop in large quantities, and the work was done by a specialized agricultural cadre under the direct supervision of the Division."

The division's official added that another land was donated in the Bulgo area of ​​the Republic, and was named ‘Fadak al-Zahraa’.
