Imam Hussain Holy Shrine launches the sixth Quran competition for memorization

The Quran House at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine launched the activities of the sixth Quran competition for students of the National Memorization Project, which was conducted at Sayyed al-Awsiya City for Pilgrims in Karbala, as a continuation of the previous ‘1000 Quran Memorizer’ project.

The director of the House, Sheikh Khair al-Din Ali al-Hadi, said, " This competition comes as part of a series of activities for students of the National Memorization Project (the former 1,000 Quran Memorizer), through which we focused on many dimensions, the most important of which is to create an atmosphere of competition among our students who have suffered from some apathy due to the lack of competitions in the current period.”

He explained, "These competitions have a great impact and leave an imprint on the life of the memorizer to continue his blessed achievement.”

Al-Hadi pointed out that, in this competition, they were able to take into account the health situation and apply the guidelines of the Crisis Cell to avoid any further outbreak of the pandemic.

For his part, competition supervisor and Quran memorizer, Ali Hadi, said, " 65 male and female Quran memorizers of different age groups and from several Iraqi provinces participated.
