Iraq and Pakistan discuss lifting entry visas to encourage religious tourism between the two countries

The Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed with the Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi in regards to lifting the entry visas to encourage tourism between the two countries.

Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein said during a joint press conference with his Pakistani counterpart, that "the two sides discussed lifting entry visas between the two countries and transporting Iraqis to Pakistan via Iraqi Airways."

The minister stressed, "Iraq is looking forward to strong relations with Pakistan in various fields."

For his part, the Pakistani Foreign Minister affirmed that his country is looking forward to more cooperation with Iraq in many fields, including religious tourism.

He added that "Iraq currently hosts 200,000 Pakistani visitors, and we look forward to facilitating the procedures for obtaining entry visas to Iraq for religious tourism."

Qureshi stressed that his country supports Iraq in all fields.
