Norwegian traveler visits the two holy shrines in Karbala

The Norwegian traveler, Jorn Bjorn, visited the holy shrines of Imam Hussain and his brother al-Abbas, peace be upon them, as part of his tour around the world.

Bjorn toured the historical and religious monuments in and around the two holy shrines, where he was briefed about the history and significance of the artifacts displayed in the museums as well as the methods used in their display and ways of preserving them.

Bjorn expressed his admiration for the precious and rare artifacts he found in the museums, such as the ancient swords, luxurious carpets, and rare manuscripts.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your hospitality and your lovely assistance to me, and I would like to visit this place again,” said the Norwegian traveler to al-Abbas Holy Shrine officials.

Jorn Bjorn Augestad is a citizen of Norway whose travel plans triggered widespread comment. Augestad runs a blog called "201 countries" documenting his efforts to visit every country in the world, before he turns thirty years old. The author, traveler and public speaker, is the youngest Norwegian to visit all countries of the world, and Iraq was the last country he visited, touring all of its 18 provinces.
