Trench to be dug around Kerbala

Due to the ISIS’s attacks on the holy city of Kerbala, the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, his Eminence sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala’e instructed that a trench must be dug around the city.
In cooperation with the Military Operation Headquarters of Kerbala City, the project has begun, and the trench will be dug along the Kerbala-Rumadi boundary to prevent any booby-trapped vehicles from attacking the city in the future.
The trench will be 70 kilometers long and approximately 2 meters deep.
