Imam Hussain Shrine Achieves Top Five Rankings in International Programming Competition

Noor Al-Amiri, Head of the Women’s Training Unit in the Human Resources Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced that a team representing the shrine secured the top five places in a global programming competition organized by a British institution.

The team, consisting of 12 members—eight young women and four young men—demonstrated outstanding technical expertise while also conveying a powerful message: that religious values and creative innovation can complement one another.

Al-Amiri explained that the team presented eight groundbreaking projects that impressed the competition’s judging panel. These initiatives tackled urgent real-world challenges, such as managing and organizing the millions of pilgrims visiting Iraq each year, and improving services for visitors to the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
