Religious scholars from Sierra Leone hosted by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine

A delegation of religious scholars from Sierra Leone visited Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, after the holy shrine announced that it will start receiving religious science students from the West African country to study at the Specialized Institute of Preaching, according to the head of the Preaching Department.

Sheikh Abdul-Saheb al-Taei said, "We received a religious delegation from Sierra Leone to discuss cooperation with regard to Islamic preaching, and we agreed with Sheikh Ibrahim Bah, head of the guest delegation, to receive a group of students from the West African country, to study at the Specialized Institute of Preaching in the English language.”

The Holy Shrine will provide the suitable atmosphere as well as the logistical and material requirements for the 10 students from both genders.

The delegation was taken on a tour of the Museum of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and was briefed on the most important artifacts.

"During our tour of the holy shrine and its museum, we felt close to Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, and witnessed with pain and sorrow the effects of Saddam’s attacks on the holy city,” Sheikh Bah said.

At the end of the tour, Bah expressed his gratitude to the Administration of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, and to Sheikh al-Taei, for the cooperation and hospitality.
