Largest cancer hospital in Iraq opening soon

The General Secretariat of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine revealed the date of opening the Imam Hussain Hospital and Center for Cancerous Tumors, which is the largest cancer hospital in Iraq.  

The General Supervisor of the Health Sector at the Holy Shrine, Dr. Sattar al-Saadi, said, “After the visit of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority to see the stages of work in the Imam Hussain Hospital and Center for Cancerous Tumors in Karbala, the work plan and the opening date of the hospital was determined to be on June 2021.”

The hospital is being implemented and supervised by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, and it is the first of its kind in the country, with one hundred beds and radiation devices for patients with tumors of all kinds.
